Goldendoodle FAQs

Is my deposit refundable?

All deposits are non-refundable. We respectfully ask you to be confident that you and your family are 100% ready for the responsibility of a new puppy. In the case of miscarriage/stillbirth, poor veterinary review of your puppy, or if we do not have enough puppies, your deposit can be transferred to the next available litter. We will try to get you a puppy as quickly as possible.

What Is A "Teddy Bear" Goldendoodle

It is a goldendoodle that looks like a teddy bear, which means it has a straight/wavy coats, a more blocky head and is well proportioned, with good structure.

Can I breed my dog?

No, we sell our puppies as pets only! We have worked very hard on the lines we have and want to make sure we keep those lines in good hands.

What if I can't take my puppy on the pick-up date?

We'd be happy to hold your puppy for additional days if necessary, but we have to charge a fee of $25 for each additional day that passes your assigned take-home date. We will only keep your dog for an extra 2 weeks and after that we will have to find a new home for him/her.

What type of environment will my puppy be used to? Inside or Out?

Both! All expecting mothers and young puppies are kept indoors until the puppies are 4 weeks old. After 4 weeks we begin introducing them to the outdoors and playing with them in the yard.

Once they are old enough and weather dependent, we will move them outside full time. All of our dogs get lots of socialization from us and our children. Kids are around them from the time they are born until the time they go home.

WHICH GENDER WOULD BE BEST FOR ME?

There are a lot of things to consider when deciding which gender of puppy would be best for you. Ask

yourself a few questions:

1.) Do I want a more laid back and calm puppy or a more outgoing and active puppy?

If you answered "active", the best fit for you would probably be a female puppy. A lot of the time females need more mental stimulation than male dogs and in turn need more activity. If you answered "Laid Back", you would probably be more satisfied and happy if you purchase a male puppy.

2.) Am I an experienced, confident, and patient trainer that has time to put in the work?

If you answered "yes", we recommend a male puppy for you, because sometimes they take a bit longer to train than some of the females. Of course, you don't have to be a professional trainer to have a male puppy, but sometimes they take a little longer to train. Females may be a better option for the less experienced or knowledgeable as sometimes their drive to learn is a little higher.

3.) Do you have more males or females in your human family?

In our experience, male dogs bond better to women, while female dogs bond better to men. This is just an overall generalization, but this is fairly common with what we have seen.

4.) Are the other pets I have in my household males or females?

This is very important if you have other dogs. It is important to consider their genders and their roles in your already established family/pack. Introducing a new puppy into the family can upset your current dogs' balance so be cautious to select a puppy that will compliment your dogs' personality. If you already have a female dog, we would recommend getting a male because having two females can sometimes cause conflict, especially if they’re both naturally dominant. If you have a male dog, either gender should be okay for you. Because males are usually more laid back, bringing either gender into the home/pack is not as big of a problem.

Now you do want to be sure that you are not picking a dominant puppy if your male dog already has a dominant personality.
